Anti Acne Soap - Pack of 4
Say hello to the Anti Acne Bar. Most soaps only go skin deep, but this is a proper therapeutic system designed to actually break the breakout cycle. Instead of just washing off surface dirt, it targets the oil overproduction and clogged pores that cause acne before they even show up.
We have packed it with a Quad Action Complex of Salicylic Acid, Zinc PCA, Activated Charcoal, and Tea Tree Oil to clear up active blemishes and keep blackheads away, all without that stripped feeling you get from typical treatments. It is basically the bridge between clinical dermatology and your daily routine, helping you manage sebum and clarity while keeping your essential moisture barrier exactly where it belongs.
- Salicylic Acid (1.00%)
Function: A Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA). Unlike water-soluble AHAs, Salicylic Acid is oil-soluble. This allows it to penetrate deep inside the sebaceous follicle (pore) to dissolve the glue holding dead skin cells together. It is keratolytic (exfoliating) and anti-inflammatory. - Zinc PCA (0.20%)
Function: Zinc salt of Pyrrolidone Carboxylic Acid. It acts as a physiological sebum regulator. It inhibits the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase, which is often responsible for excessive oil production. It also has broad antibacterial properties against C. acnes bacteria. - Charcoal (0.20%)
Function: Activated Carbon. It functions via adsorption (binding to surface). It acts like a magnet, drawing out toxins, heavy metals, and excess sebum from the skin surface. - Tea Tree Oil (0.05%)
Function: A potent natural antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. It contains terpenes that damage the cell walls of acne-causing bacteria. - SAP - Sodium Acerbly Phosphate (0.30%)
Function: A stable, water-soluble Vitamin C derivative. In acne formulations, SAP is prized because C. acnes bacteria are sensitive to it. It prevents the lipid peroxidation of sebum (which causes blackheads) and brightens post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) - the dark spots left after a pimple heals. - Cedarwood Oil (0.10%)
Function: Astringent and antiseptic. It helps tighten loose skin and regulate sebum secretion. Its woody aroma also has a grounding effect. - Spearmint Oil (0.10%)
Function: Mild cooling agent and antibacterial. It contains carvone, which is less irritating than the menthol in peppermint but still refreshing. - Soap Noodles (91.45%)
Function: The structural backbone. Provides the surfactant action to lift dirt and oil. - IPM - Isopropyl Myristate (2.00%)
Function: A synthetic oil and emollient. Crucially, it reduces the "drag" of the soap and enhances the penetration of Salicylic Acid. - Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (1.30%)
Function: Derived from coconut oil. It repairs the skin barrier. Acne treatments can be drying; this ensures the skin remains supple. - Olivum 300 (1.00%)
Function: Reduces the irritation potential of the soap base and Salicylic Acid. It provides "superfatting" benefits. - Sodium Citrate (0.30%)
Function: pH buffer. Critical for maintaining the activity of Salicylic Acid. - Tinoguard TT (0.10%), BHT (0.20%), SMBS (0.10%)
Function: High-performance antioxidants. Salicylic Acid and oils can degrade. These ensure the soap doesn't turn brown or smell rancid. - EDTA (0.10%)
Function: Chelator. Neutralizes hard water metals, ensuring consistent foam. - Perfume (Pears Blue) (1.50%)
Function: Sensory. "Pears Blue" suggests a fresh, aquatic, clean scent, balancing the medicinal notes of Tea Tree/Cedarwood.
